I’ve been looking forward to the Sex and The Cit

I’ve been looking forward to the Sex and The City Reboot and I’m so sad to hear how Sarah Jessica Parker is being hammered with negative comments about how she has aged.

This is exactly why we need to continue the discussion about ageism as well as sexism.

What will it take to put an end to these “isms”?

Let’s collectively take a stand and say no more!!

It’s starts with us..

Here’s what Sarah had to say:

There’s so much misogynist chatter in response to us that would never. Happen. About. A. Man. Gray hair gray hair gray hair. Does she have gray hair? Especially on social media. Everyone has something to say. ‘She has too many wrinkles, she doesn’t have enough wrinkles.’ It almost feels as if people don’t want us to be perfectly okay with where we are, as if they almost enjoy us being pained by who we are today, whether we choose to age naturally and not look perfect, or whether you do something if that makes you feel better. I know what I look like. I have no choice. What am I going to do about it? Stop aging? Disappear?

I am yet at another crossroad on my journey toward

I am yet at another crossroad on my journey toward the next step for The Pro-Age Woman. There have been many twists and turns along the way, and I am veering in a direction as we speak; but I’m
curious..what’s on your mind?? What would you like to see from us?? Hear from us??

Full disclosure..the fact that I’m turning 70 soon has awakened me to limitations I hadn’t felt in my 50’s or early 60’s.

I profess the positives of aging and finding our purpose, and I feel so fortunate that these endless possibilities exist today..yet..I find it’s not simple..is it??

My personal Pro-Age journey has had some bumps in the road; and I’ve realized it is in these bumpy moments that fortitude and resilience must take hold.

Easier said than done, don’t you think? You may ask, as I’m asking myself, how do we consistently find our inner fortitude and resilience? How deep do we have to dig to locate these treasures? How many times do we have to check in with our gut to know if we’re headed in the right direction? How much energy does it take??

We hear about pivoting..a much used word these days; and yes very important to take heed of..but how do we truly sense which road to take until we begin to take steps in that direction?? Sometimes I think we simply get stuck, I know I have; maybe because of health reasons..or maybe because of a decline in physical abilities..or maybe it’s just the recognition of limitations and how to navigate through them..or maybe it’s uncertainty as to how to get to the end goal whatever that my be.

On a personal note, I do want to mention that there are some amazing things happening. I am so thankful and will share at a later date.

How fortunate am I to be able to vent to all of you and ask you to share YOUR truths..while continuing on my path of fighting against ageism and creating individual and collective strength through community.

Let’s be real..every stage of life has its own challenges..but this is where I am and this is what I have to say in the here and now..

Enough about me though.
