After five years and many discussions, as well as social media platforms on aging and the over 55 woman, I’ve come to the realization that it’s time to put a different spin on this subject.

I am very excited to say that we have taken the Pro-Age Woman to the next level. We have organically evolved into a Communications Platform and launched a new website including our Premier Issue of The Pro-Age Woman’s eMagazine. Here we will explore, discover and share the endless possibilities for traveling this road individually and yet together. To support and lift each other’s crown, to collaborate not compete and most definitely, to stand in solidarity and use our collective voice to represent the fabulousness of our global community.

It’s note about aging. It’s simply about living. Intentional Living. Transformative Living and how to transition through the later stages of life.

I’m not sure why the “aging discussion” has so gripped us and taken such a hold, when we, of course, begin the aging process at birth, while simultaneously beginning the living process at birth. And if we are lucky, we continue on through our 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and beyond. Maybe it’s because, upon entering this new uncharted frontier of living healthier, stronger, more engaged lives, it has brought unanswered questions or a road to travel very differently than the generations before us.

Whereas in the past, we recognized and knew what awaited us and what retirement looked like, today many of us yearn for purpose and fulfilment and a means to navigate towards that end. So in other words we are leaning further into life, not further out.

What does the landscape look like, to move away from the idea of diminished living toward enriched living? To choose to live with intention and meaning, curiosity and vitality rather than to slip into convention and conformity?

With our wrinkles and sags and aches and pains we still have all that it takes to ROCK the world!!

Let’s celebrate the modern woman-in-her-later years and make a collective toast to our enduring resilience, visibility, and relevance.

Warmly,

Meri
